Description

  • Two International Drillers stand on top of a boat used to transport equipment along the river to the location of an oil drilling rig. 
  • A pile of casing sits unloaded on the shore. 
  • A third International Driller and a woman, likely his wife, stand on the dock. 

Background Information

  • In South East Asia, drilling equipment was delivered from manufacturers in Canada, England, the Netherlands, and other countries to major cities. From there, the equipment was transported bit by bit on smaller boats up rivers to drilling sites.
