Description

  • Photograph of two workers leading an ox with William McRae on the far right in a white suit. 
  • Ox is being used to transport eight-inch pipe in Sumatra for the Dutch East India Oil Company. 

Background Information

  • William McRae drilled in the Dutch East Indies (modern South East Asia) for 25 years, returning in 1915.
