Description
Known as the "Lesser Black Bird-Eating Spider".
Caught in the oil fields of the Tropical Oil Company near El Centro, Colombia in 1936.
The spider has eight long legs and two short teeth at the front used to inject venom.
The spider is mounted on a matchbox with a pin through its abdomen.
Box is made of wood and fronted with glass.
