Assemblage d’un bouteur
Description
Bouteur Holt en cours d’assemblage par les ouvriers locaux et les foreurs internationaux.
Les lourdes pièces du bouteur sont soulevées par une corde tendue sur un trépied de bois, puis déplacées au bon endroit.
Background Information
Faisant partie d’une collection de photographies appartenant à George Rawlings, qui a été foreur pétrolier en Afrique et en Amérique du Sud, de 1910 à 1932.
Les bouteurs étaient expédiés en pièces détachées dans des caisses qui devaient être amenées sur la rive à bord de radeaux et transportées à dos d’âne de l’autre côté des collines.
