Description

- Wooden handle of the dagger is carved and curved and has an ornamental piece of metal at the attachment to the blade.
- Wooden handle is has intricate carvings on the underside.
- Straight blade is created by alternating layers of different types of metals, giving the blade a swirling pattern.
- Blade has a wide, asymmetrical base.

- Given to Leo A Wilson by a Malayan Chieftain on the island of Sumatra.
- This type of dagger is called kris and functions as both a weapon and a spiritual item.
- Poison was supposedly infused into the blade during the forging process to ensure that any injury caused by the blade would be fatal.
- The straight blade provides a fatal wound.
