Description

  • S.S. Santa Barbara (centre) with a few other smaller, masted boats in the harbour at Talara, Peru. A staircase leads passengers off the S.S. Santa Barbara onto a small boat. 
  • Written on the back: "The boat we came down on, Santa Barbara, in Talara Harbour. We go ashore on the small boats". 

Background Information

  • Part of a photograph collection belonging to Gerald Currie who worked for the International Petroleum Company in Talara, Peru from 1923 to 1949.
