  • Machete has a curved metal blade attached to a bone handle.
  • Maker's mark next to the handle 
  • Maker's mark logo is of a fist emerging from a crown, clutching a mallet.

History of Use

  • Used to cut trails through the dense jungle of the Magdalena River Valley on the concession of the Tropical Oil Company, Colombia. 

Background Information

  • From the collection of John Braybrook, International Driller in Colombia from 1930 to 1943.
