Toy Bow

Description

  • Toy bow made from the wood of the purpleheart tree, found locally. 
  • Part of a set with an arrow
  • String is still attached.
  • Handle of the bow is wrapped in orange and green hemp, with feathers on either end and animal fur in the centre.
  • Used as a toy by the native children of the jungle villages in Colombia.

Background Information

  • Purchased as a memento by John Braybrook, International Driller in Colombia from 1930 to 1943.
