Toy Bow
Description
Toy bow made from the wood of the purpleheart tree, found locally.
Part of a set with an arrow
String is still attached.
Handle of the bow is wrapped in orange and green hemp, with feathers on either end and animal fur in the centre.
Used as a toy by the native children of the jungle villages in Colombia.
Background Information
Purchased as a memento by John Braybrook, International Driller in Colombia from 1930 to 1943.
