Description

  • Wooden toy arrow belonging to a set with a bow.
  • Made from the wood of the purple heart tree, found in the local area.
  • Largest end is decorated with orange feathers, and two bands of coloured twine framing a centre of animal fur.
  • Used as a toy by the native children in the jungle villages in Colombia.

Background Information

  • Purchased as a memento by John Braybrook, International Driller in Colombia from 1930 to 1943.
