Walking Cane

Description

  • Walking cane made from maple-coloured Malacca wood, found on the coast of Sumatra.   
  • Brass head, into which the initials "J.G." have been carved. 

Background Information

  • Belonged to John Growder whose international oil drilling career lasted 32 years, taking him to India, Arabia, Japan, and Egypt.
