Description

  • Clay stele topped by a cavetto cornice
  • A figure holds a tyet or "Isis knot" symbol in her right hand, left raised in position of adoration. She is surrounded by a hieroglyphic inscription. 
  • Broken in the middle and mended. 

Background Information

  • Purchased as a memento by John Growder who drilled for oil in Egypt for eight years, from around 1923.
