Description

  • Painted clay figurine sitting on a painted wooden base.
  • Woman is sitting with two chickens and is mixing something in a bowl. 
  • Woman is wearing a red skirt, yellow shirt, and blue k'eperina (a rectangular cloth which is knotted at the front and used for carrying children or items).
  • The inverted-shaped hat shows that the woman is from an area near the Andes Mountains near Huancayo.

Background Information

  • From the collection of John Braybrook, International Driller in Colombia from 1930 to 1943.
