Australian Waddy

Description

  • The waddy, or hunting stick, is carved from heavy dark wood with raised veins. 
  • Both extremities end in points, and one end is wider than the other. 

Background Information

  • Sometimes called a nulla nulla, the waddywas made and used by Australian aboriginal people as a type of club.
  • The waddyis either used as a club in hand to hand combat, or can also be thrown.
  • Possibly purchased as a memento by E.A. Koyden
