Description

  • Wooden spearhead fitted onto a wooden spear shaft and secured into place with string. 
  • The spearhead is made of wood from the purpleheart tree.

Background Information

  • Used for fishing by the British Guiana (modern Guyana) and tribes of the tributaries of the Amazon River, in South America.
