Description

  • A group of International Drillers posing in front of the house in which they lived while working in Borneo. 
  • The local men are either members of their crew or house servants.
  • John Esson is the bearded man in the centre, seated between a woman and child.

  • John Esson worked in Borneo from 1901 until 1904.
