Background Information

International Drillers Jacob Perkins and Charles Nicklos both left Petrolia to work for Bergheim and McGarvey in Galicia (modern Poland and Ukraine). The two families were good friends and became even closer when Ernest Nicklos and Olive Perkins married in September, 1910.
