  • Note on the back reads: "Views of Palembang. Malay cooks and cooking utensils. My boarding house landlord and his wife and child in the background."

Background Information

  • Part of a photograph collection belonging to Robert Rawlings who drilled in Sumatra on two contracts between 1880 and 1902.
