Description

  • Three International Drillers sit in two canoes each with one local Indonesian man. 
  • The canoes each have two outriggers which provide stability in rough waters. 
  • The man on the left appears to be Frederick Thomas Webb. 
  • Note on the side of the image identifies the location as Ambon, Indonesia. 

Background Information

  • Fred Webb drilled for oil in South East Asia and in South America in the early 20th century.
