Double-Bladed Knife

Description

  • Ivory handle in the centre which holds two curved, metal blades, one at each end. 
  • Each blade is covered with leather, dark blue cloth, and rows of coloured beads and shells.
  • One of the blades has fallen off, and is not pictured. 
  • Matches an African Chief Necklace

Background Information

  • Purchased as a memento by John Growder whose international oil drilling career lasted 32 years, taking him to India, Arabia, Japan, and Egypt.
