Description

  • A steel derrick has crumpled over likely due to overload. A group of International Drillers gathers to inspect the damage. 

Background Information

  • Part of a photograph collection belonging to Ernest Kells who worked in Persia (modern Iran) in the 1920s. 
  • Read about a time when George Rawlings, an International Driller in South America, deliberately crumpled a derrick to spite his boss.
