Description

  • A crude oil dipping machine shown folded up for transportation. 
  • The machine is being pulled into place by a horse. 

Background Information

  • The crude oil dipping machine was invented by Henry Gregory. It was used at wells which did not produce enough oil to put up equipment for pumping the oil to the surface. 
  • The machine ran a bailer down to the crude oil and was pulled back up to the surface to be dumped.
