Description

  • Christmas card sent from Humphrey Tracy to Mrs. Verna Tracy 
  • Card has a picture of the corner of a house and some flowers with the message "thoughts of you". 

Background Information

  • Sent by Humphrey Tracy who was drilling in Trinidad until his death in 1940.

Subject

  • The front of a Christmas card with purple flowers on it. There is a brown building in the background and a blue butterfly in the foreground. There is a piece of purple string along the fold. The card says, "Thoughts of You".
  • The inside of a Christmas card sent to Mrs. Tracy. It reads: "Christmas Greetings. If I were but the postman Who takes this card to you It would not be a card That would give my wishes true, I wish I were the postman, Indeed, indeed I do!".
  • The front of an envelope that contained a Christmas card addressed to Mrs. Tracy. There are two stamps and three postmarks from Trinidad & Tobago.
  • The back of an envelope that contained a Christmas card. It has Humphrey Tracy's return address on it as well as a postmark from Saskatchewan.
